Use of Google API Services

Nelson Digital uses Google APIs to power internal automation and reporting tools for our agency operations. When you authorize access to your Google account, we may access the following Google services on your behalf:

• – Google Ads API (adwords scope) — read-only access to advertising spend, clicks, impressions, conversions, and conversion-value data for Google Ads accounts you grant us access to.
  – Google Analytics API (analytics.readonly scope) — read-only access to GA4 session, conversion, and revenue data for properties you grant us access to.
  – Google Search Console API (webmasters.readonly scope) — read-only access to search performance data (clicks, impressions, position, CTR), indexed pages, and sitemap status for verified properties you grant us access to.
  – Google Business Profile API (business.manage scope) — used solely to read insights (calls, directions requests, website clicks, search and discovery views), review content, and post history for Business Profiles you grant us access to. Although this scope technically permits write operations, our application does not modify, create, or delete any Business Profile data, posts, reviews, or settings. We use this scope read-only because Google does not provide a narrower read-only scope for Business Profile data.
  – Google Sheets / Drive API (drive.file scope) — to write aggregated reporting data into Google Sheets created by our application. This scope grants access ONLY to files our app creates or that the user explicitly opens with our app — not your full Drive.

What we access: Only the data necessary to produce performance reports — ad spend, ad performance metrics, and conversion totals. We do not access individual user PII, email contents, calendar data, contacts, or any data outside the scopes you explicitly authorize.

How we use it: Data is read by automated scripts running in Google Apps Script and written into Google Sheets owned by Nelson Digital or its clients. Data is used solely for internal reporting and client performance dashboards.

How we store it: We do not maintain a separate database of Google data. All accessed data is written directly into Google Sheets you control and is not copied to any external server, third-party service, or analytics platform.

How we share it: We do not share, sell, transfer, or disclose Google user data to any third party. Reporting derived from this data is shared only with the client whose account the data belongs to.

AI / ML training: Google user data accessed by our applications is never used to develop, improve, or train generalized or non-personalized AI/ML models.

Retention and deletion: Because data is written directly into spreadsheets you own, retention is controlled by you. You may revoke our application’s access at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions, and you may delete the spreadsheets at any time.

Compliance: Our use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
